Epoxy Coal Tar Paint protect Underground Concrete & Underwater Metal Surfaces JIS Standard JONA TAR

 JONA^®TAR - EPOXY COAL TAR FINISH - is the two-component epoxy finish with large solid content contain, curing by polyamide or polyamine.

Its ingredient has coal tar in order to protect the underground concrete surfaces.

It is used for the underwater metal surfaces or surfaces at fluctuated water-line, interior surfaces of ballast holds, waste water cistern.

JONES^®TAR has been certified as conforming to the JAPANESE INDUSTRIAL STANDARD JIS K 5659:2008.

• Good adhesion.
• Stand the impact and abrasion well.
• Resistance to fungus and alga.
• Good water-resistant.

Tools:

Airless spray: the fluid tip diameter is from 0.43mm to 0.65mm, min output fluid pressure is 15MPa (150kp/cm²). The angle of spray from 40⁰to 65⁰.

Conventional spray.

For inconsiderable surfaces: brush can be used, care must be taken to achieve the specified dry film thickness. Clean tools after using.

• Firstly, stir well the base (part A) with an agitator, then pour the hardener (part B) slowly into the stirred base (part A), and mix them (part A with part B) together thoroughly in the ratio of 4 to 1. 
• Thinner should be only used in the case of exceptional circumstances (max. 5% by the weight of A & B mixture).
• The available A & B mixture must be used within the pot life (7 hours at 23⁰C).

• The practiced surface temperature is more than 10⁰C (It’s at least 5⁰C above the dew point) and the practiced space humidity is equal or less than 85%.
• Drying time depends on temperature, humidity and ventilation of application space. High temperature and good ventilation help the drying time to be more quickly.
