Product's Maintenance

 

 1) Can the stone be coated with any type of food oil material to seal it and produce a more shining coating?

 

Yes ,that’s available. But we don’t suggest you to coat the slate with any shining material ,because after a period of using,the food’s oil will be absorbed by the surface layer of slate stone. 

 

2) Can the stone be washed in a commercial dishwasher or only by hands ?

 

If the slate plate were chisel edge, then the edge will be easily broken in dishwasher.So we suggest to clean the plate by hands. You can clean them with wet cloth or gently brush them in the clean water.

 

3) Do you have any durability testing on it that can share with us? Like chip, impact, thermal shock and hardness testing requested on ceramics?

 

No, we don’t have it in hand, but we can provide test samples for customers’ own testing. If you need to make a testing, we can also support you to do it.

 

The thermal limits is 800 °C . Service life is more than 100 years if in normal use.

 

4) Is there any other special care and handling required for the slate in a foodservice application?

 

No special note, just be careful when you move away or put down them in foodservice.
