Lead-acid battery's characteristic(be applicable to FM, GFM, SW series)
1. Hermetic: Battery adopts extreme column with trough cover design to prevent missing acid, stable safety valve capable of outside air and dust get inside.
2. Maintenance-free: strong water regeneration capacity, hermetic high rate of efficiency response, then it is no need to supply water and acid maintenance.
3. Safety and reliability: No missing acid, stable safety valve auto closure, riot device to make baykee battery are safety and more stable during working procession.
4. Long service time design: Guarantee long usage of baykee battery with computer precision design to corrosion resistant alloy plate and lead calcium lead gate,ABS corrosion resistant material.
5. High performance:
(1)Weight higher than energy, small resistance, highly input power rate.
(2)High charge and discharge performance, self discharge control under 2% every month(20°C).
(3)Good recovery performance, it could use balance charging method to recover capacity in short circuit after 30 days while deeply discharge or the charger malfunction.
(4)Because of the good consistency of the internal resistance,capacity and float voltage, then it is no need to use balance charging method while under floating using state.

Battery discharge
1. Discharge to terminate voltage:
Battery are not allow to discharger under scheduled terminate voltage, otherwise to cause over-discharge, and repeated over-discharge will cause hard to recover capacity, then to ensure the best working power and longest usage, discharging must control between 0.05~3°C.
2. Discharge capacity:
(1) Relationship between discharge capacity and discharge current:
Figure 1 is FM,GFM,JMF series batteries capacity under different kinds of discharge power, since to read the figure, the capacity of the battery can release smaller with greater rate of discharging.
(2) Effect of Temperature:
Battery capacity also effect by temperature, lower temperature(under -15°C/5°F) to reduce effective capacity, higher temperature(over 50°C/122°F) to cause lost control of heat-up and damage the battery. (as shown in Figure 2).
Charge methods: FM,GFM,JMF series charge methods
(1) Floating(restrict voltage, control current) use:
Floating voltage 2.25V~2.30V/single, max current is not over 0.25C10,
Battery floating current is adjust to less than 2mA/AH(25 °C), shown in figure 3.
(2) Recycling use(Charging stop, after discharge then charge again)
Charging voltage is 2.4V/single, max charging current is no over 0.25C10, shown in figure 4.
(3)Temperature compensation
Chemical reaction accelerate with increasing temperature, and slow down with reduce temperature. When Battery is working between 5~35°C, it is no need to compensate charging voltage, When temperature under 5°C or over 35 °C, in order to prevent battery over-charge or owe charge,to adjust charging voltage in advise, adjustment of standard floating is -3mv/°C/cell, recycling using is -4mv/°C/cell(temperature basic in 25°C), shown in figure 5.
(4)Charging time calculate:
For the backup battery, the time of battery re-charging are not less than 24 hours, after battery full charged.
For the recycling used battery, it could calculate the charging time according to below formula in 25°C if the previous discharging power and first charging current to be known.
A. When discharging current >0.25C,
Cdis Tch=I+3~5
B. When discharging current <0.25C,
Cids Tch=I+6~10
Remark: Tch = the time of battery full charging(hours)
Cids= the power of previous discharging(AH)
I= max first charging current(AMP)
Battery usage
1. Main factors to affect battery usage:
Repeated deep discharging(specific for deep discharging after light charging)
Outside temperature too high
Over charging(specific for constant current charging)
Over large charging current
When full charging battery aside in long term(specific for high temperature environment)
2. Recycling usage:
When battery recycling used, discharging and charging for a cycle, battery recycle usage(recycle times) had relationship with battery's discharging depth, battery environment and charging methods. (shown in figure 6).
3. Floating usage:
Battery's floating usage mainly effect by charging,discharging voltage, temperature environment also affect the product's usage. Figure 7 shown FM,GFM series, figure 8 shown relationship between floating usage of JMF series model battery and temperature environment.
Keep capacity
1,Self discharging:
(1) After battery charged, its capacity will gradually reduce by long term stock, then it became charging status, this phenomenon called self discharging, moreover it is inevasible. Although battery has not been used, it will self discharging by inside chemical reaction and electrochemical.
Now the condition of self discharging are shown below:
Chemical factors:
No matter it is PbO2 or Pb activation material, all need to decomposite or gradually to sulfuric with acid reaction, and transform into more stable lead sulfuric, this procession is self discharging.
Electrochemical factors:
Due to the existing not purely substances, battery will self discharging by inside forming local circuit and both poles cause oxidation and reduction reaction.
Baykee battery has low content of impurities, so self discharging very small, this belong to the super strong keep characteristic. As shown in figure 9.
(2) Battery self discharging speed have a important relationship with storage temperature, as shown in figure 10.
2, Through the open voltage can be judged the residual capacity of the battery, figure 11 for the relationship between rest of battery capacity and open voltage curve.
