Toxicity

Acute oral LD₅₀ for rats:1690mg/kg b.w. Acute dermal LD₅₀ for rabbit:>2000mg/kg b.w. Not irritant to skin, but can cause the irreversible eye injury.

Application

As a plant growth regulator with auxin activity, it can be absorbed via root and leaf.

It is used as a fruit setting spray on tomatoes, strawberries, capsicums, aubergines, and pineapples; 

It can promote fruit set, stimulate fruit enlargement and prevent hollow fruits. 

It can also stimulate root formation when co-used with rooting agent.
