1. The applicable standards and uses are different.

(1) There are three standards for the use of 20 steel in general steel pipes.

Standard GB8162 is suitable for structural seamless steel pipe.

Standard GB8163 is suitable for general seamless steel pipe for conveying fluid.

Standard GB3087 is suitable for seamless steel pipes of low and medium pressure boilers. This standard is suitable for manufacturing high quality carbon structural steel hot-rolled and cold-drawn seamless steel pipes for superheated steam pipes, boiling pipes and superheated steam pipes for locomotive boilers, large smoke pipes, small smoke pipes and arch brick pipes of low and medium pressure boilers.
