Calcium Nitrate Crystal Fertilizer is a highly soluble source of two plant nutrients. It contains 11.74% nitrogen and 23.5% calcium Oxide that can be absorbed quickly by peppers.

Calcium Nitrate Crystal Fertilizer can help prevent blossom end rot in peppers because of its calcium concent.

Blossom End Rot is a common problem with peppers. It is a physiological disorder (not a disease) caused by a lack of calcium. When fruits are enlarging rapidly, sufficient amounts of calcium fail to reach the end of the fruit resulting in a deficiency of calcium in the developing fruit.

Before flowering, pepper leaves can be sprayed with calcium nitrate, which can quickly and effectively supplement calcium.
