Product Description
The instrument is used to measure the apparent porosity and bulk density of porous ceramic products and refractory materials by vacuum method. It meets the national standard GB/T1966-1996 "porous ceramics apparent porosity, bulk density test method", GB/T2997-2015 "dense shaped refractory products volume density, apparent porosity and true porosity test method".

Three, instrument structure and composition
The instrument is composed of a vacuum container, a distilled water container, a vacuum pump, a vacuum injection valve, a water injection valve and a digital controller.
Four, the test principle of the instrument
The percentage ratio of the volume of the open pores in the sample (referring to the pores communicated with the atmosphere) to the total volume of the sample is called the apparent porosity.
The ratio of the dry weight of the sample to the total volume of the sample, called bulk density, is expressed in grams/cm 3.
Five: laboratory should be equipped with relevant instruments
1, can work in the temperature of 110℃±5℃ oven.
2. Industrial balance: the maximum weight is 1kg, and the sensing capacity is 0.01g.
3. Deionized water or distilled water.
4. Dryer.

Six, use method and operation steps
1. Open the back cover, take apart the packing tape tied to the vacuum pump water tank, and check whether the connecting pipe next to the water tank is loosened and whether the electrical board components fall off. After the inspection, add distilled water or deionized water to the vacuum pump tank and the bucket containing distilled water. The vacuum pump tank is submerged in the overflow mouth, and the water in the bucket must be enough to fill the vacuum bucket. Do not insert the injection pipe (i.e., the discharge pipe) into the water, the inlet pipe must be inserted into the bottom of the bucket.
2, sample preparation
Three samples are cut from the test product. Note the representativeness of the sample. For tubular products, one piece should be taken from the middle and one piece from each end. One piece of plate should be sampled from the center and two pieces from the edge. The volume of each sample shall not be less than 10 cm 3. If the volume of the product is less than 10 cm 3, the whole product can be used as a sample.
The mouth specimen must have two main surfaces of the original product (i.e. the surface perpendicular to the filter direction of the product during use). The appearance of the sample should be flat, the surface should not have cracks and other damage traces. Before the mouth test, dust and fine particles should be brushed off the surface of the sample, and placed in an electric heating drying oven at 100℃ to a constant weight, and then removed and placed in a T dryer.
3. Weigh the dry sample on the balance to an accuracy of 0.01g. Put the sample into the sample, put the high pressure washer flat, and cover the plexiglass cover. The instrument adopts automatic digital control system, and the vacuuming time (about 12 minutes) is set according to the technical requirements of national standards. Set the power switch to the "on" position, and the red power indicator will light up, and enter the test stage. The vacuum pump will work and begin to vacuum. If the vacuum cannot be pumped (the pointer of the vacuum pressure gauge does not move), press the plexiglas cover with both hands until the pointer of the vacuum gauge starts to move.
When the vacuum degree reaches the requirement (2.090MPa), keep it under this vacuum degree for 10 minutes, when the holding time is up, open the water injection valve, make the distilled water slowly injected into the vacuum container, until the sample is completely submerged, and then pumped to the sample when no bubbles appear, stop, turn off the power.
At the sound of the alarm, open the air injection valve (on the left side of the instrument), pour air into the vacuum container, remove the vacuum container, remove the sample, and replace the distilled water in the vacuum container with the distilled water container, close the air injection valve (i.e., water discharge valve), and cut off the power.
The saturated sample was placed in a copper wire net basket and suspended in a container filled with distilled water with overflow pipe. The weight G3 of the saturated sample in water was weighed by a hydrostatic balance to an accuracy of 0.01g. The saturated sample was removed from the water, and the excess water on the surface of the sample was gently wiped off with a multilayer gauze filled with water (attention should be paid to not suck out the water in the pore of the sample). The weight of the saturated sample G2 in the air was quickly weighed to an accuracy of 0.01 g.
