German technical background VOK®-AP 8463 wax dispersion
Rheological wax dispersions for solventborne special effect coatings that improve the orientation of effect pigments to enhance the isochromatic effect at different angles, avoid clouds and minimize short-wave defects (stains, Bernard vortices), enhance the flow and leveling of varnishes. This additive reduces settlement in vessels and pipes.
VOK®-AP 8461 has lower polarity than VOK®-AP 8463.
Chemical composition: ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer wax dispersion
Solvent: Xylene/butyl acetate/butanol
Dosage of additives: 40-70 % of the amount of solid resin
Typical physicochemical data: Non-volatile: 4.4 %
Melting point (wax): 100°C
