Uses of Wolfram carbide

（1）Wolfram Carbide powder is mainly used in the production of cemented carbide.In Wolfram Carbide powder,carbon atoms embedded in the gaps of tungsten metal lattice do not destroy the original metal lattice,forming interstitial solid solution,so it is also called interstitial (or insert) compound;

（2）A large number of high-speed cutting tools, kiln structural materials, jet engine components,cermet materials, resistance heating elements,etc.

（3）For manufacturing cutting tools, wear-resistant parts,copper,cobalt,bismuth and other metals melting crucible,wear-resistant semiconductor film;

（4）Used as super hard tool material,wear-resistant material.It can form solid solutions with many carbides.WC-TiC-Co carbide cutting tools have been widely used.It can also be used as the modification additive of carbides in NbC-C and TaC-C ternary systems,which can not only reduce the sintering temperature,but also maintain excellent properties,and can be used as aerospace materials.

（5）Wolfram Carbide (WC) powder was synthesized with tungsten anhydride and graphite in a reducing atmosphere at 1400~1600℃.Compact ceramic products can be prepared by hot pressing sintering or hot isostatic pressing sintering.
