The TPS793xx family of low dropout (LDO) low-power linear regulators features high power supply rejection ratio (PSRR), ultra-low noise, fast start-up, and excellent line and load transient response in a small out-of-line SOT23 package. Each device in the family is stable with a small 2.2 μF ceramic capacitor at the output. the TPS793xx family uses an advanced proprietary BiCMOS manufacturing process to produce extremely low dropout voltages (e.g., 112 mV at 200 mA for the TPS79330). Each device achieves a fast start-up time (approximately 50 µs with a 0.001 µF bypass capacitor) while consuming extremely low quiescent current (170 µA typical). In addition, when the device is in standby mode, the supply current drops below 1 µA. The TPS79328 exhibits an output voltage noise of approximately 32 µVRMS when using a 0.1 µF bypass capacitor. Applications using noise-sensitive analog components, such as portable RF electronics, can benefit from the high PSRR and low noise characteristics and fast response time.
