Description
The MP86952 is a radiation-tolerant monolithic half-bridge IC with built-in internal power MOSFETs and gate drivers. It can achieve up to 70A of continuous output current (IOUT) over a wide input voltage (VIN) range of 3V to 16V.
The Intelli-PhaseTM solution can drive up to 70A per phase, and the integrated MOSFET and driver provide high efficiency by optimizing dead time (DT) and reducing parasitic inductance. The device operates at 100kHz to 3MHz.
The MP86952 offers many features that simplify system design and is compatible with tri-state pulse width modulation (PWM) signal controllers. It is also equipped with accurate current sensing (Accu-SenseTM) to monitor inductor current (IL) and temperature sensing to report junction temperature (TJ).
This device is ideal for server applications where efficiency and small size are critical.
The MP86952 is available in an LGA-41 (5mmx6mm) package.
