Description

The MP4013B is a current mode controller designed to drive high brightness light emitting diodes (LEDs) with wide supply voltages from 8V-26V. It can be used in boost and SEPIC topologies.
The MP4013B drives an external MOSFET with a fixed frequency structure to regulate the LED current, which is measured through an external current feedback resistor. The switching frequency can be programmed to meet a variety of applications. The cycle-by-cycle current limit can be programmed through a sense resistor on the CS pin.
The MP4013B incorporates a 600mV reference voltage for LED current feedback with 0.2% accuracy and a 5V reference voltage for external circuit reference voltage with % accuracy.
The MP4013B implements both DC input analog dimming and pulse signal input analog dimming functions. the amplitude of the LED current can be controlled by the level of the DC input signal or the duty cycle of the pulse signal. the MP4013B also employs fast and deep PWM dimming for high dimming rates of the LED current.
The MP4013B integrates undervoltage lockout, overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, LED short circuit protection, output short circuit protection, inductor/diode short circuit protection and OTP. the fault indicator is pulled low in the fault condition.
The MP4013B is available in a SOIC-16 package.
