Description

The MP5092 integrates a dual load switch to provide load protection over the 0.5V to 5.5V voltage range. Either channel can operate independently. Each channel provides 7.5A of load capability, and the MP5092's low on-resistance and small package provides an extremely efficient space-saving solution for notebook and tablet PC or other portable device applications.

The MP5092 features a soft-start function to avoid inrush currents during circuit power-up, and offers a variety of different features such as programmable soft-start time, output discharge function, over-current protection (OCP), and over-temperature shutdown protection.

The maximum load at the output (source) is the current limit. This limit is achieved by using a sampling FET topology. The magnitude of the current limit is controlled by an external resistor between the ILIM pin and ground.

The MP5092 is available in a space-saving, small 18-pin QFN 2mmx3mm package.
