DRR LS11 A multi-purpose fully synthetic copper wire drawing lubricant
DESCRIPTION
A Combination of specially designed additives have been used to produce a synthetic lubricant with
exceptionally high lubricity and anti-wear properties. The product was also designed to overcome
some of the historic issues associated when using synthetics, especially corrosion of machine parts.

The properties built into DRR LS11 allow for a wide range of uses.

RECOMMENDED INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- Before preparing a solution of DRR LS11 for use ensure the complete lubricating system is
- Where wire surface cleanliness and brightness is a key factor it is recommended to use deionized
water for preparing the solution and subsequent top up. Maximum recommended hardness of
water is 150ppm CaCO3.
- Operating temperature should be in the range of 30 – 40 °C for best results.
- DRR LS11 mixes with water to form a solution not an emulsion like typical semi-synthetics. Mixing is much easier or reduce the chance of mixing problems during makeup .
RECOMMENDED SOLUTION CONCENTIONS
Finishing 0.03 - 0.08mm 10 - 15%
Finishing 0.08 - 0.15mm 15 - 20%
Finishing 0.15 - 0.30mm 20 - 35%

CONCENTRATION MONITORING
Emulsion concentration is generally measured using a refractometer measuring on the Brix scale.
To obtain the actual concentration multiply the refractometer reading by the correction factor 1.83
e.g., Refractometer reading = 1.5
Correction factor 1.83
Read actual concentration = 2.75%
STORAGE
Keep drums protected from direct sunlight and frost. Storage temperature should be controlled to
between 5°C and 35°C.
